The Animal Welfare Fund was created in 2011 in honor of Cook Francis Bradner, a trainer and lover of hunting dogs; Nannie Scearce Bradner, a lover of all animals; and their son, Bennie G. Bradner, who gave his life in WWII in defense of our nation. The Animal Welfare Fund is a general Field of Interest fund, awarding annual grants made to charitable organizations for the purpose of supporting animal welfare in Danville and Pittsylvania County.
